The University of Arizona: Introduction to KP Ten-Frame Tiles (MMMS)

This Making Manipulatives Make Sense (MMMS) session will focus on how KP Ten-Frame Tiles can help students physically and visually experience the structure and applications of the base-10 number system. In this introductory session, you will explore how to use KP Tiles to help students make sense of, and think flexibly about, place value concepts. Participants will also discover practical strategies to help students visualize operations with both whole numbers and/or decimals, while building learners’ confidence in their mathematical thinking. Walk away with ready-to-use techniques that transform abstract concepts into meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

*No registration is required. Drop-ins are welcome!

**If possible, please have a physical set of the featured manipulatives available during the session.
