
The University of Arizona: CPM Spotlight Session #1 – Creating Collaborative Classrooms
Participants will learn team structures and strategies that can be implemented to support collaborative environments. Participants will engage with teams using a variety of strategies in order to analyze how the modeled strategies have the potential to increase students’ level of confidence and math skills. We will also reflect on how using supporting collaboration builds trust with teammates and social skills to work collaboratively. In order to see the connections to research, participants will reflect on how the Standards for Mathematical Practices are highlighted through collaboration. Perfect for grades 6-12.
