DESCRIPTION:oin Kartchner Caverns\, an International Dark Sky Park\, for a Star Party on April 18 to celebrate International Dark Sky Week! \n\n\nBefore night sky viewing through high-powered telescopes begins\, listen to a presentation by Ted Blank\, “Light Pollution: Why Should I Care?” This talk will discuss the importance of protecting our dark skies through smart lighting to help nighttime pollinators (like bats)\, nocturnal animals\, migrating birds\, and human health. After our talk\, we’ll enjoy this International Dark Sky Park by viewing stars\, planets\, and other wonders of the dark and natural night sky. \nThe Star Party is free but standard park entry fees apply. From 3D printing and laser cutting to woodworking and sewing—LaterLab has everything you need to build\, innovate\, and explore your creativity. \nOn Friday and Saturday evenings from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.\, CREATE opens its doors for LaterLab—giving aspiring artists\, handiwork enthusiasts\, and curious creatives the chance to explore new skills\, hone their craft\, and connect with like-minded Makers. \nWhether you’re fostering a hobby\, kickstarting a small business\, or simply exploring a new interest\, LaterLab welcomes Makers of all backgrounds and curiosities. \nParticipation Requirements: To take part in LaterLab\, Makers must complete one of CREATE’s Skill Studio workshops or have previously taken a Creator Course. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety. \nThree 2-hour studio sessions between 4:00pm and 8:00pm to choose from.\nAll Later Labs include one standard table to work\, more tables are available for rent upon request.\nEquipment Rental is based on availability\, $5 each.
