Social Bias Hackathon
We spent all summer building a bias detection model (NER and binary classification). Right at kickoff, we’ll publish our paper and open-source model. Hackers will be challenged to implement our API (running the model) to an innovative app or use case. Maybe you’ll build a google docs plugin like grammarly, but for generalizations, unfairness, or stereotypes. Maybe you’ll do some clever data analytics on the presidential debates. Or maybe you’ll even find a way to improve the model. All ideas are welcome. Teams of 5-6 ppl. Join our discord and shoot us your questions. Our hackathon is the hard-launch of our open-source project for this model, so if it really resonates with you, you can join!!!
