Pima County Natural Resources, Parks & Recreation: Through the Spotting Scope – Raptors

This month, the Through the Spotting Scope series tackles the field identification of hawks,eagles, kites, and falcons.

Commonly known as raptors, these birds can be tricky to identify based on individual varia-tion, age, and geography, complicates identification.  In the Zoom presentation (Tuesday, November 16) highlights the diversity of raptors and discusses the identification tips.  We’ll put these tips into practice in the field study session that follows. Meet at Historic Canoa Ranch; after searching for raptors here, we will caravan to other sites. $15 fee. Online registration required.
