Being able to read topographic maps makes outdoor adventures easier to plan, safer, and more fun.
This beginner workshop will take the mystery out of topo maps and decode terminology like contour line and scale. You will learn how to recognize landforms, determine distance, identify hazards and predict what the terrain will be like. On the trail, these skills can help you decide which route to take, stay on the trail, and figure out where you are if you happen to get lost.
For the safety and comfort of all participants, no pets are allowed.
