Pima County Natural Resources, Parks & Recreation: Through the Spotting Scope – Sparrows

Sparrows are sometimes known as ‘little brown jobs’ by frustrated birders who cannot seem to make sense of the field identification of these delightful birds.

In the Zoom presentation (Tuesday, December 14), sparrow identification tips will be presented that will help birders gain confidence in recognizing the many species. We’ll put these tips into practice in the field study session that follows. Meet at Historic Canoa Ranch; after searching for sparrows here, we will caravan to other sites.
