Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary: Junior Tortoise Day Camp

Ages: 8 – 11 years

Hours: 9am to 4pm

Cost: $75 per day

What to Bring:

  • Lunch
  • Water Bottle
  • PHS will provide water as well as morning and afternoon snacks.

Details: Will be emailed to you once you register and a week before camp starts.

Interactions: YES with nonvenomous animals, this is an essential part of our camp

Description: Tortoise Day camps are focused on BOTH Turtles and Tortoises. While we do not interact with aquatic turtles, we make sure the campers know the difference between the two types of reptiles. Campers will learn about why we have so many of these animals, how long they live and the difference in their diets!

Day camp will be filled with activities such as:

  • Crafts
  • Games
  • Interactions
  • Building
  • STEAM -based curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math)

Each camp has a minimum of 5 participants and max of 1:15 or 2:25 (ratio of Counselor vs Camper)
