In the summer months, the cooling temperatures of the twilight hours bring about a flurry of wildlife activity. Experience the magic when crepuscular creatures come alive and join NHI Program Director Jennie Tutone on a sunset hike near Prescott’s Thumb Butte. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the enchanting transition between day and night in a scenic locale and in the company of naturalists. This unique adventure will allow you to connect with nature in a whole new way as you explore the singular beauty of the natural world at dusk.

  • Meet at the White Rock Trailhead on Thumb Butte Road at 6pm
  • Easy to moderate loop hike – Up to 5 miles, elevation gain of 500 ft
  • Return to vehicles at 10pm
