National Park Service: Astronomy Night – Full Moon Rise Over Grand Canyon

Watch the Sun set in the west at 5:59 pm, then turn to the east and watch the Full Moon rise over the Canyon at 6:18 pm! This is not a formal program–just something to make sure you see! A once-a-month special event!

Time: 5:30 pm (allow 1 hour)

Location: Mather Point on the South Rim – Park in one of the Visitor Center parking lots. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk along a paved path to Mather Point.

Or from Hopi Point, Yavapai Point, Maricopa Point.
