Mesa Public Library: STEM-ming Arizona

Let’s learn about our impact on the world and the actions we can take to better our environment by leading our community toward sustainability using the 3Rs – reduce, reuse, recycle – in an interactive way through activities and projects.

This teen series will meet bi-monthly in September and October. Projects will include making recycled seed bookmarks, germinating plants, and painting terracotta pots. This program is led by teen volunteers from Red Mountain’s Teen Advisory Board. Ages 12-18.

This program supports the City of Mesa’s Climate Action Plan (MCAP), a Mayor and Council priority initiative to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, build resilience in our community, and address the negative outcomes of a changing climate.
