McDowell Sonoran Conservancy: Bike/Hike the South from Quartz Trailhead
Join us on this ride and hike from the Quartz Trailhead. We will ride the Quartz Trail west to the Westworld Trail, go around the golf course and head uphill east on the Taliesin Trail to its intersection with the Quartz Trail.
This will take us to the next portion of the trip, hiking up to the Quartz outcropping (maybe a vortex) to take in the beautiful view from there. We hike back to our bikes to return on the Quartz Trail which follows a wash back to the trailhead. This is an intermediate skill and moderate cardio ride.
Location: Quartz Trailhead parking is located at 104th and McDowell Mountain Ranch Rd.
Skill level: Intermediate
Distance: ~8 miles
