Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Wildflower Hike
Join the Ranger for an easy/moderate hike along San Tan, Stargazer and Moonlight Trails to search for common wildflowers and flowering shrubs of the Sonoran Desert, such as fiddleneck, filaree, brittlebush and globemallow. We will also keep an eye out for the County Park’s March Eco-Blitz Challenge Species of the Month: the Sara Orange-Tip Butterfly. Bring your camera and a notebook if you’d like to jot down identification tips. Wear closed-toe shoes and a hat and bring plenty of water. Limit 20 participants.
Registration required by calling the San Tan park office at 602-506-2930 x7.
Meet at the main trailhead map kiosk/picnic table.
