Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Venomous Creatures of Lake Pleasant

Join the Ranger for an in-depth look at the venomous creatures found at Lake Pleasant.

Join Ranger Steve at the Discovery Center at Lake Pleasant Regional Park for an exciting and educational program focused on the venomous creatures of the Sonoran Desert. Some topics that will be covered include “busting” myths about venomous animals, the differences between venom and poison, what venom is used for, and an up close (but not too close) look at some live examples of venomous arachnids and snakes.

Advance registration is required. Limit 20 participants. Please email Ranger Steve directly at stephen.dacosta@maricopa.gov with your name, number of people attending and your phone number! Registration for this program will end on 2/17/23.
