Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Scorpion Safari

Join Ranger Derik on a journey through the park in the dark and hunt for scorpions and other nocturnal creatures.

The hike will cover 2 miles in total along the waterfall trail and is rated as easy. The hike winds its way through a valley full of ancient rock art and up to a seasonal waterfall. For the hike you should have a flashlight, water bottle, proper hiking shoes, and if you have a black light, bring it to help with the scorpion hunt. Both water and bathrooms can be found at the trailhead.
