Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Scorpion Safari
This is an approximately 2-mile hike along the Black Rock Loop trails. We’ll be seeking out the three main types of scorpions that are native to our region. At the same time, we’ll keep our eyes open for other desert critters that may be around. The trail is rated easy with little loose rock, uneven surfaces and elevation change. Please bring plenty of water and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring flashlights; black UV lights are optional. NO pets, please.
MEETING LOCATION: Area 4 near the restrooms
