This roughly 4-mile medium difficultly hike will take us down the aptly named Scenic trail which follows along a ridge and treats hikers to stunning vistas of the surrounding countryside. While enjoying these long ranging scenes we will also pause to draw down on some of the plants and animals along the edges of the trail to search for insects, small mammals, and birds in our immediate vicinity going about the business of pollinating late blooming wildflowers, storing, spreading, and making seeds for next year! (Truthfully, the next several years, but we’ll talk about that.)
