Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Plant Hike
Ranger Nikki will lead you on a hike to talk about a variety of plants along the trail. Depending on how much winter rainfall we received, there may be signs of common wildflowers such as lupine, poppy, and scorpionweed and perennial plants such as globemallow, brittlebush and wishbone bush. The route follows Mule Deer, South and Bajada Trails to make a 6-mile balloon loop. The terrain varies from level and smooth to uneven with small rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center and Trail access Parking Lot.
MEETING LOCATION: Area 4, Mule Deer Trail access near Restrooms
