Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Plant Hike
Join Ranger Nikki to learn about plants that grow along the upper park trails and those that grow along lower areas along the creek. The route uses Spur Cross, Tortuga, Boca Grande and Dragonfly trails and a short portion of roadway to return to the parking lot for a total of 3.6 miles. The terrain ranges from flat and even to rocky and uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and sun-protective clothing. There is NO water available at the park so please bring plenty of your own. Portable restrooms are available at the Trailhead.

*Please note: Entry to Spur Cross Conservation Area is $3 per person. Annual Pass or CASH only (exact change appreciated). Credit/Debit/Mobile not accepted.
Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number, number of people attending and the Session Number. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 1/20/25.
