Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Plant Hike
Explore the trails with Ranger Nikki and learn about the flowers, shrubs and trees of our Sonoran Desert. Depending on winter rain and temperatures there may be pops of green appearing to indicate that spring wildflowers are on the way. The route uses Wagner, Granite and Bluff Trails to make a 5-mile balloon loop. The terrain is mostly flat and even but has some areas of slight elevation gain and rocky, uneven surfaces. Wear closed-toe shoes and sun-protective clothing and bring water, a hat and sunscreen. Restrooms and water are available at the nearby Nature Center.
