Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Photography Workshop Series Part I – Introduction to Photography
Join Ranger Steve for the inaugural run of the Maricopa County Parks Photography Series. We will be running a series of exciting photography workshops in 2023 and 2024!
Part I: Introduction to Photography is designed for the novice/beginner photographer. If you’re interested in learning more about your camera equipment and the craft of photography, this is a great program to attend! Part I includes a classroom session lasting about 2 hours that will cover the very basics of how digital cameras work, how to use a camera, and photographic techniques.
Bring your camera gear along! We’ll have a chance to use it!
Any camera counts, even phones! After the classroom session, a short supervised outdoor “practice session” will take place in the area around the Nature Center, so bring your camera (and tripod if you have one)! Restrooms, snacks, and water are available at the Nature Center. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend! Future themed photography workshops will take place in the park setting and include in-field instruction with the Ranger.
MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center Classroom
Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext 6 with your name, phone number and number attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please contact the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close by noon on the day before the program, 1/19/2024.
