Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Nature Hike
Join Ranger Jacque on a challenging and interpretive hike to Wind Cave and take in the views of the mountains and the city.
This is an uphill hike, but we will take our time to enjoy it, and take breaks to talk about desert life along the way! We will hike the Wind Cave Trail with 800ft of elevation and at a distance of 3 miles, it is rated as difficult. The trail is steep and rocky, so it is encouraged you bring proper footwear and bring plenty of water and a snack for the top of the cave. Water and bathrooms are available at trailhead.
MEETING LOCATION: Wind cave parking lot, next to the bathrooms, by the kiosk.
For those participating in the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge (Nov. 1-Feb. 8), this hike is a great way to work towards your goal! For more information about the challenge, visit https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/things-to-do/activity/100-miles-in-100-days-challenge/.
