Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Morning Meander

Come along with Ranger Shaun for a morning walk-and-talk and enjoy the scenery and residents of the Preserve.

Spring is officially here, and the Preserve is glad to let us know! Come wander the paths with Ranger Shaun and see what we can find as changing temperatures bring out old familiar faces returning from vacations, like our Turkey Vultures, or waking from winter naps, like our rattlesnakes. You never know who you might bump into at the River. Hassayampa River Preserve does not allow pets. Restrooms and water are available in the parking lot. Limited snacks are available in the gift shop. The trails at Hassayampa are generally flat and easily accessible but feel free to bring whatever hiking gear makes you comfortable. The abundant wildlife at HRP also makes for excellent wildlife viewing and birdwatching, so cameras, binoculars, or magnifying glasses are never a bad idea.

MEETING LOCATION: Visitor Center Limit 10 participants.
