Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Morning Desert 101 Hike

Join Ranger Derik on a short nature walk below the Malpais Hills and learn about the plants and animals that call the Sonoran Desert home.

Get your morning started off right with a 3-mile hike on parts of the Rock Peak Wash and San Tan Trail and learn about the many plant and animal species that call the Sonoran Desert home.
