Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Junior Ranger Family Hike AM
Looking for something to do with the kids over winter break? You found it!
Join Ranger Kevin for this 1.5-mile hike on the Pipeline Canyon and Yavapai Point trails. Prior to the hike, we’ll talk about the Junior Ranger program, set every young person up with their own activity book, and then we’ll actually do some of the activities together on our hike as a way to get a head start on becoming an official Junior Ranger! The hike is generally easy, but will have stretches with loose rock and uneven terrain, so please wear closed-toe shoes, and bring water. Hats and sunscreen are recommended. Restrooms are available at the trailhead. Please, NO pets.
MEETING LOCATION: Cottonwood trailhead
Limit 16 participants (children and adults). To register, please email Ranger Kevin at kevin.thorson@maricopa.gov with your name, phone number and number of people attending. Be sure to include your preferred time (10AM or 2PM) in your email as well. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 12/17/23.
