Join Rangers Steve and Kevin for an evening of stargazing and astronomy education! We’ll be viewing a selection of objects through the 12” observatory telescope as well as a smaller telescope. Possibilities include plants, galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters! We’ll also look at constellations with a laser pointer. Bring your questions and your curiosity! Family friendly program. Restrooms and water are available at the Desert Outdoor Center but bring your own hot cocoa if you’re so inclined! Please dress appropriately for the weather (layers and a jacket if needed).

MEETING LOCATION: The Desert Outdoor Center at Lake Pleasant parking lot, on the east side of the lake, not at Lake Pleasant Regional Park. Turn north on 87th Avenue and pass Pleasant Harbor Marina and stop at the locked gate. A gate code will be provided to registrants.

Please note that this event may be subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather or cloud cover.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please notify Ranger Steve ASAP so he may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 12/29/23. Note that the Desert Outdoor Center has the same entry fee as Lake Pleasant Regional Park, $7 per vehicle. Please bring exact change or your Annual Parks Pass. Credit/Debit card payments cannot be processed at the Desert Outdoor Center.
