Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Handicap accessible nature hike on the waterfall trail

Join a ranger on a 1-mile wheel chair accessible nature hike to see native wildlife, learn about the history of the park and get up close with Native American rock art.

We will meet at the waterfall trail parking lot and follow the 1-mile-long paved section of trail to an outcropping of Native American petroglyphs roughly 0.4 miles in. The trail maintains a slight incline as is snakes through the canyon but it is paved and well maintained. The rock art is located just off trail and can be accessed by a flat fine gravel lot. The parking lot has water fountains and a handicap accessible bathroom. The sun will be setting so please make sure to bring a headlamp and plenty of water. Sadly, the waterfall is farther down the trail and not handicap accessible and water is seasonal and only flows after heavy prolonged rain.

Please no pets! There will be limit of 15 spaces available for this event.
