Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Guided Tour of the New Pollinator Garden
J
Ranger Nikki will guide you through Estrella’s new Pollinator Garden, a designated area of maintained and monitored native plants that attracts and nourishes native wildlife, from bugs to bats to birds! The garden also provides seeds that can be gathered and distributed in areas of Estrella and other County Parks to promote native growth and discourage invasive species. Enjoy a variety of insects and birds visiting colorful plants such as milkweed, chuparosa, desert marigold, fleabane, daisy and more. The pathway is level, barrier-free and consists of a cement sidewalk and compacted crushed gravel. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center and along the path near the Garden.
