Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Guided Bird Walk

Join Ranger Eric to look for and learn about resident and migratory birds of the Sonoran Desert on this easy to moderate hike.

We will meet in front of the Nature Center and check out the nearby trees, before going over to riparian woodland along the Gila River if time allows. Please dress in layers, wear sturdy footwear, and carry ample water and snacks for yourself. Some binoculars are available to borrow from the Nature Center when they open at 8am, but feel free to bring your own binoculars or camera if you have them. The paths by the Nature Center are paved or gravel, with uneven dirt surfaces over by the river. We will walk at least 0.5-1 mile. Restrooms are located at the Nature Center.
