Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Full Moon Walk

Join Ranger Nikki on a slow-paced walk to enjoy the full moon and search for scorpions and other nocturnal animals.

Enjoy this easy walk through our Sonoran Desert in the glow of moonlight. We will also be on the lookout for nocturnal critters such as scorpions, bats, owls, tarantulas and more. The route follows Blevins and NoSo Trails to make a 2-mile loop. The terrain ranges from level and smooth to portions that are uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Bring your blacklight and a regular flashlight. No pets, please. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Trailhead. Please bring $7 exact cash for the self-pay station or your annual pass to display on your vehicle.
