Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Full Moon Hike
Join Ranger Kevin for a beautiful desert evening hike.
Come join Ranger Kevin as we hike roughly 2 miles on the Hilltop and Tortoise trails under a winter full moon. Trails are rated easy, with little loose rock and uneven terrain (Hilltop does have 76’ of elevation gain). Animals we may encounter on this evening hike include coyotes, mule deer, javelina, raccoons, skunks, owls, and scorpions. Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes, and bring water and a flashlight (UV/black light optional). Restrooms are available at the Trailhead Staging Area. Please, NO pets.
MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead Staging Area, south side
