Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Full Moon Hike

Join Ranger Nikki on a hike to watch the full moon rise and enjoy the desert at night.

Ranger Nikki will lead you on an evening hike to enjoy a peaceful evening in the desert as the full moon rises. We will also keep an eye and ear out for any creatures that may be stirring, such as owls, coyotes, rodents and more. The route follows Moonlight, Stargazer and San Tan Trails for a 2.2-mile loop and is rated easy to moderate, with terrain ranging from flat and level to uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Please bring a flashlight to navigate some rocky areas on Stargazer Trail. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.
