Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Ecosystem Hike
Join Ranger Shaun as he hikes the moderate rated Blackrock and Waterfall trails. We’ll discuss the Sonoran Desert, its unique ecosystem and some of the plants and animals found there. We’ll see petroglyphs along the way and, if the weather’s been nice, stop at the top to see the waterfall that gives the trail its name! Please
dress in layers as the temperature can change quickly on the trail. Bring plenty of water, wear sunscreen, a hat, and closed toed shoes. No pets please.
MEETING LOCATION: Blackrock trailhead
