Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Discovery Station – San Tan Critters

Visit the Nature Center to learn about San Tan’s animal ambassadors with Ranger Olivia.  

Ranger Olivia will introduce you to San Tan’s animal ambassadors, including snakes, chuckwallas, tortoises, scorpions, and a Gila monster. Learn about their life cycles, adaptations and what you should do if you encounter their relatives on the trail. Bring your water with you and a hat to visit the outdoor tortoise enclosure. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.

MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center

No registration required. Just stop by any time between 10am- 2pm!
