Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Discovery Station – How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love…Rattlesnakes!
Come to the Cottonwood Day Use Area at the north end of the lake and meet Ranger Kevin from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. The theme is rattlesnakes, so bring your curiosity and your questions. We’ll bust some misbegotten myths about these creatures, delve into some fascinating facts, as well as learn how to safely share the desert with our reptilian neighbors. There’s a Full Moon hike happening right after, so be sure to sign up for that, and then arrive early. Or just drop on in for this rattlesnake rap session, no registration required!
