
Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Discovery Station – Desert Butterflies
Learn about desert butterflies with Ranger Nikki during this informal drop-in session. See preserved specimens and photographs to help you identify common flutterers that can be seen at the end of summer into early fall along our desert trails and in your back yard. You can also learn about the Parks Department butterfly monitoring initiative and apps you can use to identify and document what you see along your journeys. Stop by any time between 10 and 11am. Be sure to bring your water with you. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.
