Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Discovery Station – Desert Bugs and More!

Stop by a display of preserved arthropod specimens to learn about some of the small and not-so-small crawling and flying critters found in our desert. Learn about butterflies, beetles, tarantulas and more – some of the coolest critters to ever wear an exoskeleton – and see some under a microscope. If the weather is nice, a few of these amazing animals may make a live, in-person appearance! Restrooms and water are available by the parking lot.
