Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert 101 Hike to Yavapai Point

Hike through beautiful Sonoran Desert and learn about desert plants as we head to an overlook while taking in views of Lake Pleasant and the surrounding mountains.

Come join Ranger Derik on the 3-mile hike along the Yavapai Point Trail where we will be able to take in stunning views of the Sonoran Desert and hopefully see some wildlife that call the area home. We will be meeting at the Pipeline Canyon Trailhead at 7:50am and we will be starting our hike promptly at 8 am. This is the trailhead:  Pipeline Canyon Trailhead (North) – Google Maps.

As we will be hiking on uneven ground, it is recommended you wear proper clothing and closed toed shoes. Bring plenty of water for the 3-mile hike. Please no pets.
