Join Ranger Eric for a moderate 1.8-mile one-way hike up to Yavapai Point and back, with spectacular scenery along the way!

Join Ranger Eric on a 1.8-mile one-way hike up the Yavapai Point Trail where we will be able to take in stunning views of the Sonoran Desert and Lake Pleasant, as well as talk about the local flora and fauna. We will be meeting at the Cottonwood Day Use Area accessed from the North Entrance and taking the Pipeline Canyon and Yavapai Point Trails (see park map here: https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/assets/1/6/lake-pleasant-8×111.pdf). The hike is rated as moderate, with some rocky and uneven surfaces. Please dress in layers, wear protective clothing or sunblock for sun exposure, wear sturdy footwear, and carry ample water and snacks for yourself.
