Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert 101 Hike

Join Ranger Steve on an easy 1.5 mile hike on the Merkle Trail as we discuss the landscape around us—what makes the Sonoran Desert unique? How tall do Saguaro cacti get? How many species of rattlesnake live in Arizona? Get answers to all these questions and more as we take in the scenery and sunset. Please dress appropriately for temperatures that can fluctuate (wear layers) and bring plenty of water. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
