This hike will follow the Slate and Flume trails for 4.5 miles. Due to the nature of the landscape trails can be sandy, rocky, and uneven at times so please wear closed toed shoes with good ankle support. Trekking poles or a walking stick can also come in handy. We will meet for the hike at the Slate trailhead, water and bathrooms are available at the nature center.
