
Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Critters and Plants along the Washes Hike
Join Ranger Nikki for a 3-mile easy to moderate hike to observe plant and animal life that flourishes in this area of winding seasonal waterways. Learn about cacti, trees, shrubs, mammals, birds, reptiles and more. The route follows the sandy Crismon Wash for one mile and solid gravel terrain on Blevins, Channel and NoSo Trails. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, snacks and plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center and the trailhead.
