Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Creatures of the Night Hike
We’ll be on the lookout for all kinds of evening-active critters, from skunks to scorpions, spiders, snakes, fox, coyote, deer, owls and, of course, burros! Approximately a 2-mile evening hike along the Wild Burro trail. The trail is rated easy-moderate with some loose rock, uneven surfaces and elevation change. Please bring water and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring flashlights; black UV lights are optional.
MEETING LOCATION: Wild Burro Day Use Area (area 4 near the bathrooms)
Limit 20 participants. To register, please email Ranger Kevin at kevin.thorson@maricopa.gov with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 7/20.
