Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Creatures of the Morning Hike

Join Ranger Kevin for an early morning walk in search of wildlife.

Enjoy a roughly 2-mile hike on the Blevins, Crismon Wash and Noso trails. We’ll be on the lookout for all kinds of wildlife along the way. Some animals we may see include mule deer, javelina, squirrels, rabbits, various species of birds and perhaps a reptile or two. Trails are rated easy-moderate, with some uneven terrain and thick sand in some stretches. Bring plenty of water and please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes. Hats and sunscreen are also highly recommended. Restrooms are available near the trailhead. NO pets, please.

MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead Staging Area

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Visitor Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Visitor Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 9/10.

Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The MC Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.
