Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Creatures of the Morning Hike
Join Ranger Kevin for an approximately 1.5-mile hike on the Palm Lake, Mesquite Meander and River Ramble trails. The hike is rated easy, with smooth trails and no elevation change; however, the trail does have deep sand in spots, which can make walking more difficult. We will be on the lookout for a variety of wildlife that tend to frequent this special location, from birds to reptiles to mammals and more. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring water. Hats and sunscreen are recommended. Restrooms and water are available near the Visitor Center parking lot. No pets are allowed at the Preserve.
MEETING LOCATION: Visitor Center.
Limit 12 participants. To register, please call the Visitor Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 9 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Visitor Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
