Would you like to learn more about birdwatching and community science? Join us for a “Big Sit” style bird count in the front garden at the Visitor Center as we learn about birds and participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count sponsored by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology (this year’s count runs from Feb. 18-21). We will discuss basic bird identification tips and counting methods. Bird feeders are located throughout the garden, offering close looks at birds. Some binoculars are available to borrow.
