Maricopa County Library District: Mary Colter – Architect of the Southwest
Join Jane Przeslica, an educator and Heard Museum ambassador, as she discusses Mary Colter, one of the few female architects of her day.
As architect and designer for the Fred Harvey Company, she created what is now known as the Santa Fe and National Park Service Rustic style. Her work, in places like the Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest, reflects the beauty she saw in the Southwest and its people.
