SUMMARY:LFDT Phoenix: Briolette - An Experimental Framework For Offline-First Currency
DESCRIPTION:Briolette (https://github.com/Briolette) is an opinionated digital currency framework that provides a foundation for digital currency designers\, whether centralized or decentralized. It enables offline and online peer-to-peer transactions with cryptographically-backed double spend detection and abuse resistance mechanisms. Briolette is built around direct anonymous attestation primitives which enable pseudonymous\, transaction-based identities and complex system-wide policy tooling. Join this meetup to learn more about the Briolette lab\, its core design and the associated tradeoffs\, and how to get involved! \nPlease note: This event is being shared with our entire global community. If you’re interested in this content but can’t attend the event live\, feel free to sign up and we will send you a link to the recording after the meetup is over. \n\n\n\nSpeaker\n\n\nWill Drewry\n\nhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/redpig/

SUMMARY:Arizona Science Center: Dorrance DOME After Hours - Little Eve
DESCRIPTION:Planet Earth is a truly fascinating place. The only known world where life has flourished. But how did it all begin? That’s what Little Eve\, the young bear in Krutart Studio’s new film\, is about to discover. \nA story kids love\, and parents enjoy just as much. Eve is small\, but her problems feel huge. She’s worried about the wolves who won’t leave her alone. Luckily\, her mother is there. She shares three thrilling stories from the history of life on Earth—where even the smallest can outsmart the mighty. Take our very own planet. It’s not the largest like Jupiter\, not the brightest like Venus\, and not the most beautiful like Saturn. Yet it is the only one with life\, a life that began with a tiny\, determined cell. Over time\, it grew into something more\, starting with the first spark of existence and leading to a clever ancient squirrel that outlived the mighty dinosaurs. So what if Little Eve is stronger than she ever imagined?
