Lowell Observatory: LOCKS – Earth: Layers of the Earth

Children will construct volcanoes and watch them erupt.

About LOCKS

Created for children ages 3 to 5, these activity-based, hands-on camps explore science and include STEAM elements. Camps are usually held on the first and third Saturdays of each month unless otherwise noted. Even though there are two classes offered per month, the same lesson will be taught throughout a given month.

These 90-minute camps — led by Lowell educators — take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Parents are able to explore topics in physics and astronomy with their children. Activities include science investigations, games, storytime, music, engineering, art, and more! Maximum 12 children per camp.

Pricing for members is $20 per child; $10 for each additional sibling. Pricing for non-members is $25 per child. Parent attendance is MANDATORY. The prices listed are per session. You may register for one month at a time, or for multiple dates. Register for 5 months and the 6th month is free!

*NOTE: The session on the third Saturday of each month will be recorded for training purposes. If you do not wish to participate in these videos, please do not register for those classes.

**Scholarships are available upon request.
