HeatSync Labs: 3d Printer Basics – Tinkering
During this hands on session I will cover basic tools primarily in TinkerCad, and Prusa Slicer. The goal will be to cover some of the concepts you can use to modify 3d models that are already available or begin creating simple designs.
When I was just starting out using Blender I made a list of operations for useful tasks I wanted to do with existing 3d files or vector files. It turns out many are possible in both TinkerCad and often slicer software itself. The goal is to provide ideas and hands on experience even for those completely new to 3d design.
I will dive into a few more advanced things in Blender later just to give more context on possibilities. We’ll try and have a little hands on with that, but not much.
Laptops will be provided and configured ahead of class. Bringing your own laptop will not be necessary.
